History of the Department
The Department of Information Systems and Technologies was established on June 23, 2008, by order of the Rector in accordance with the decision of the BSUIR Council dated March 28, 2008, Protocol No. 7, at the Faculty of Computer Technologies of the Institute of Information Technologies of BSUIR. The purpose of its creation is to provide an educational process for obtaining a first-cycle higher education integrated with secondary specialized education.
Department Leadership through the Years

2008 — 2019
The department was headed by Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Vitaliy Ivanovich Pachinin.

January 2019 — May 2020
The duties of the Head of Department were performed by Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Olga Nikolaevna Obraztsova.

May 2020 — May 2021
The duties of the Head of Department were performed by Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Ivan Ilyich Shpak.

2021 — Present
The department is headed by Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Anton Ivanovich Paramonov.
In September 2019, the Department of Information Systems and Technologies merged with the Department of Industrial Electronics of IIT BSUIR. The faculty and staff were combined.
Specialty Development
During the period from the 2008/09 to 2015/16 academic years, the department provided training in the following areas:
- Modeling and Design of Radio-Electronic Systems
- Industrial Electronics
- Information Systems (in Economics)
- Economics and Production Organization
- Management in Technical Systems
- Information Technology Software
- Computing Machines and Networks
- Radio Communication and TV Systems
- Technical Security Support
- Electronic Security Systems
In 2015, a planned reduction in the number of specialties began (Order No. 35).
May 2022: The department was granted the status of a graduate department for the specialty "Information Technology Software."
2023/2024 Academic Year: New in-demand specialties were opened: "Software Engineering" and "Computer Engineering."

Currently, we train specialists in 3 key programs:
- Software Engineering Specialization: "Computer Technology Software"
- Computer Engineering Specialization: "Computer Systems and Networks"
