SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

In 2011-2015, the department carried out the research topic “Scientific and methodological support of mathematical and natural science disciplines in conditions of continuous education” (GBC No. 11-2043 State Registration No. 20121436 dated 05/02/2012).

In 2017-2020, the department carried out the research topic “Formation of physical and mathematical competence of students in the conditions of continuous professional education” (GB R&D, GBC No. 17-2043, state registration No. 20170982 dated 06/15/2017).

In 2021-2025, the department carried out the research topic “Development of productive methods and technologies in teaching mathematics and physics in conditions of continuous professional education” (GB R&D, GBC No. 21-2029, state registration No. 20212184 dated 01/04/2021).

From 01/05/2026 to the present, the staff of the department has been conducting scientific research on the topic “Professional optimization of teaching disciplines for students of IT specialties” (GBC No. 21-2028 State Registration No. 20260492 dated 01/05/2026).

During the existence of the department, a doctoral dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences (L.I. Maisenya) and two candidate dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (M.A. Kalugina, M.V. Lamchanovskaya) were defended. One person received the academic title of professor and four people received the academic title of associate professor.

The result of scientific and scientific-methodological research at the Department of Physics and Mathematics was more than 350 publications (2010-2025). Works have been published in scientific journals in Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Italy, Canada, Poland, Russia, USA, Ukraine, Finland, and the Czech Republic.

  • “Development of mathematical education for students of technical universities” (L.I. Maisenya).

  • “Handbook of Higher Mathematics” (authors: L.I. Maisenya, V.E. Zhavnerchik), publishing house “TetraSystems”;
  • “Handbook of mathematics and physics” (authors V.E. Zhavnerchik, L.I. Maisenya, Yu.I. Savilova), publishing house “Higher School” (3 editions).

Testing of the research results took place at scientific and scientific-pedagogical conferences both in Belarus and outside the country (in Armenia, Bulgaria, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Finland). More than 230 papers were published in conference proceedings.

Teachers of the Department of Physics and Mathematics (2025/26 academic year) carry out active scientific and scientific-methodological research in the following areas:

  • “Theoretical analysis of optimization of the formation of competencies of technical university students” (L.I. Maisenya),
  • “Analysis and testing of prepared methodological and content support for productive methods of teaching mathematical disciplines” (I.Yu. Matskevich),
  • “Multipole moments of charged gauge bosons. Study of the reaction e^+ + e^-  --> W^+ + W^-" (V.V. Makhnach),
  • “Problem-based teaching of mathematics in the philosophy of mathematics education: theoretical analysis and methodological foundations” (N.V. Mikhailova),
  • “Methods of teaching foreign languages ​​to students of IT specialties” (Yu.A. Tytyukha, O.A. Klimova),
  • “Effective coding and protection of information in cyber-physical systems”, “Protection of information through coordinate transformations” (A.I. Mityukhin).

Research in the field of mathematics and physics was carried out in close collaboration with the Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (A.M. Kalugina, M.V. Lamchanovskaya) and the Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (V.V. Makhnach).

Scientific research
