The Institute of Information Technologies of BSUIR invites executives and specialists of organizations to take part in the training program for advanced training “SQL queries and the basics of their optimization based on PostgreSQL.”
Training using distance learning technologies in the evening will allow you to improve your professional level without interrupting your work.

Training program:
Section 1. General concepts and principles of relational databases (2 hours)
Topic 1.1. Basic concepts of database management systems

Section 2. SQL Basics (22 hours)
Topic 2.1. Basic SQL statements and data types
Topic 2.2. Single-table SQL queries
Topic 2.3. Grouping and Aggregation in SQL Queries
Topic 2.4. Subqueries Returning Scalar and Set
Topic 2.5. Multi-table queries
Topic 2.6. Normalizing tables

Section 3. Query evaluation and optimization (12 hours)
Topic 3.1. Query Execution Plan
Topic 3.2. Indexes
Topic 3.3. Common table expressions
Topic 3.4. Searching for text using SQL
Topic 3.5. Full text search capabilities


Duration of training:36 hours, classes October 20 – November 17, 2026.
Tuition fee:610.00 rubles.

Upon completion of training, students are givenstate-issued certificate of advanced training.
