About the program
Advanced training program "Adobe Illustrator tools for creating vector graphics"
Day 1: Creating simple vector objects
Let's remember the tools for creating geometric primitives and how they are used, for example, in web design. We also remember how to combine and transform simple shapes to create more complex shapes, and the Pen tool and what Bezier curves are.
As a practical work, we will create a couple of illustrations that will show different approaches to drawing objects and make a set of icons in different styles for design, for example, in web design.
Day 2. Text as a vector object. Raster images and masks.
As a practical activity, we will create a poster and poster using type compositions. Learn to select fonts, work with line and letter spacing, deform text to fit into a composition, and design various illustrations using text. We will also learn what clipping masks are, blending modes, tracing complex objects, and in the end we will create an image using all the skills we have learned.
Day 3. Isometrics. Alignment, simple and polar grids. Working with color and gradients
Here we will learn how to work with presentations, align objects on various grids, learn what infographics are, and work with isometry and polar symmetry. As a practical work, we will prepare a presentation with infographic elements using an isometric grid, etc. We'll learn how to select color palettes for your work, use and customize complex gradients, and add various effects to texturize your illustrations.
Day 4. Seamless patterns. Brushes. Volume, 3D and perspective effects
We'll learn all about how patterns are created, how to make them seamless, and how to customize color palettes for them. Let's look in detail at what brushes, pencils are and the various effects associated with them. Let's create some images. Let's look at more advanced techniques when creating illustrations. We will learn about shadow and glow effects, applying raster textures, as well as blending and deformation effects. We will also create several images.
Day 5. Final day.
Let's try, based on our existing knowledge, to create a vector portrait using the Pen tool and Gradient Mesh.
